FAQs
Have any questions about La Fenice? We hope we have answered them below, but if not, please contact us and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

Can I book individual rooms rather than the whole chalet?

Rooms cannot be booked individually. La Fenice is rented out as a whole, ensuring guests can fully experience our luxury accommodation in the Alps, tailor-made to their needs.

Are the bedrooms individually lockable?

Yes, all rooms can be locked. We will provide you with a key card for each room.

Is there a minimum stay requirement and can I arrive/leave on days other than the stated transfer days?

There is a minimum stay of 3 days during the summer season. During the winter season, reservations must be made for a minimum of 7 days, with pre-set changeover days. However, if your required dates fall outside this period, please contact us and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.

What form of transportation can you arrange for airport transfers?

We we are happy to arrange a private car transfer to Cervinia. Once in Cervinia, our fleet of Land Rovers will greet you and transfer you to the chalet. We are also able to arrange helicopter transfers from any of the Milan, Turin and Aosta airports direct to our own private helipad at the chalet. Please contact us for more information.

What are the COVID related cancellation terms and cancellation policy?

We are aware that COVID-related rules are constantly changing. If you are unable to come due to certain specific COVID-19 restrictions, we can discuss options with you which could include carrying forward the booking to another period in the current season or the next, or indeed a partial refund. Each booking will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis; we aim to be as flexible as possible and will do our best to help. We also strongly encourage guests to take out travel insurance, to cover themselves as much as possible for any eventualities. What COVID precautions are in place at the chalet?

The wellbeing of our guests is our utmost priority and we want to make sure that you have a comfortable and relaxing stay at La Fenice. There are hand sanitisers throughout the chalet and each floor is cleaned daily, and deep cleaned after each stay. All staff follow strict health and safety guidelines and will use masks if this is requested by guests.

Is there an expectation to provide staff with a tip at the end of the stay?

Tips and gratuities to the staff are entirely at your discretion. If you have enjoyed your stay and are satisfied with the service provided, then the staff are always thrilled to receive recognition from a happy guest and a discreet thank you. Tips are generally divided equally between all our staff members. However, you are of course, always free to single out anyone who has been particularly attentive to you. Intended only as a guide, we might suggest a range of Euro 50 to Euro 80 per day per member of staff.

Is the WiFi fast and efficient given the mountain location?

Our WiFi connection is very fast and reliable, and the chalet has been fitted throughout with boosters.

Can I bring a pet to the chalet?

Unfortunately, pets are generally not permitted at La Fenice. This said, we try to be flexible and treat each request on a case-by-case basis.

What is the policy on smoking at the chalet?

There is a strict no smoking policy inside the chalet, including the balconies. Smokers may use a separate smoking area outside. Please let us know at the time of booking if this is required so we can make the appropriate arrangements.

What satellite TV and streaming services are available at the chalet?

We have subscriptions to the following: Apple TV, Netflix, as well as access to satellite TV, Xbox Series X, game pass, and a variety of local and international smart media channels. The chalet is fitted with a Sonos sound system throughout, for unlimited music streaming via Spotify and other streaming services.

Can the staff arrange ski and boot hire and all ski passes?

Absolutely. Our Front of House manager can arrange all your ski needs for you, from ski and boot hire to lift passes and ski touring. We can also arrange ski hire or the purchase of Rossignol ski equipment before you arrive so it’s ready and waiting for you. Please let us know at the time of booking. Please also note that payment for ski passes, boot hire, etc needs to be made directly, and cannot be added to your final invoice.

Can you arrange ski instructors and guides?

Yes, our Front of House manager can arrange this for you, and will find a suitable instructor/guide to match your ski level. Please note that payment for classes needs to be made directly to the instructor/guide.

Is the chalet ski-in/ski-out?

During periods when snow is abundant, experienced and fit skiers will be able to traverse direct from La Fenice to a gentle blue run which runs down to the main lifts in Cervinia. However, we generally recommend that our guests are driven the very short distance to the lifts by our private drivers, who will also collect you at the end of the day.

As a non-skier, what activities can you organise?

There is plenty to see and do, both at La Fenice and in the surrounding area. In the chalet, you can enjoy a relaxing downtime in our Spa and Wellness area, exercise in the well-equipped gym, make the most of our state-of-the-art games room or watch a movie in the private cinema. In Cervinia itself, explore it’s pretty streets, do some shopping and enjoy a meal in one of the many restaurants. Our Front of House manager can also organise excursions to Milan (a 2h30m drive), and there are plenty of outdoor activities such as golf, tennis, cycling and hiking in the area.

Can the Chef accommodate special diets (e.g. vegan or nut allergies)?

Yes, our gourmet chef will tailor-make delicious menus for you and can accommodate any special dietary requirements. We will ask you for this information before your arrival so he can prepare accordingly.

Can you provide separate meals for children?

Of course, your private chef will be happy to prepare meals for little ones. Please let us know in advance that you’ll be requiring meals for children and specify any special dietary requirements at time of booking.

Do you provide lunch on non-skiable days or for non-skiers?
Lunches are generally not included. On non-skiable days, we are happy to provide a light lunch at no extra cost. We can also provide lunch to non-skiers on skiable days – this will be charged separately.

Can the staff plan for a special celebration or event?
La Fenice is the perfect place to celebrate special occasions. We just need to discuss your needs beforehand, to ensure the appropriate preparations are made, as well as agree any additional costs.

Are we able to invite guests to the chalet during our stay?

The chalet and its facilities are for the exclusive use and enjoyment of your party. Overnight stays and dinning by non-residents are strictly not permitted for regulatory reasons. We do, however, recognise you may occasionally wish to invite friends to the chalet. In such cases, a fixed daily fee per visitor is charged. Please let us know in advance if you’re expecting a visit, so we can make the necessary arrangements.

Is there a driver available for our exclusive use in the resort during our holiday?

Your private driver is available for your exclusive use, to take you wherever you wish within the Breuil-Cervinia area. Please be aware that this service is available daily from 8am to midnight, and other times are subject to a booking and a set fee.

What wheelchair access and facilities are available? Are there any significant restrictions which would make the stay problematic?

Wheelchairs can easily access all floors via the six-person guest lift, and within each floor there is plenty of room for wheelchairs to move freely. However, outside the chalet, wheelchair access is limited due to our mountain location. Please contact us and we can explore options and discuss any limitations.
